Working in conjunction with EPR at Eye power station in Suffolk has provided us with the opportunity to demonstrate our ability to carry out a wide range of civils tasks within a busy commercial environment. Initial works were carried out in conjunction with a third part contractor; Environmental elements which involved working around multiple sub contractors, ensuring all work is completed as part of a program within a fully functional power station environment. With H&S being of paramount importance to all parties involved we were able to complete the formation of a reinforced concrete hardstand, form foundations for mounting of extraction equipment & installation of ducting again associated with dust extraction/suppression.
Subsequent visits to the site have seen us involved in the installation of cable ducts across the site, hard landscaping tasks, the formation of a new carriageway & enabling works relating to a waste water monitoring station.
This included the design and installation of new catchpit manholes to ensure that all environment agency requirements were adhered to. We have also completed alterations to existing drainage onsite which involved the installation of new drainage runs, their connection into existing manholes & re-instatement of carriageway surface following works.
